Shortly after noon on Monday, a passerby noticed a coyote hanging out between Route 9A and the northern entrance of the Montrose train station in Cortlandt. This most recent sighting is just the latest coyote concerns in the Hudson Valley recently. Earlier this year, the Greenburgh Police Department issued an advisory regarding coyotes. Coyotes were also spotted near The Hilton in Rye and near the Yonkers Raceway last month. Elsberry, who lives in Greenwich, recently retired as rector of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Bedford after serving for 23 years. As rector, Elsberry oversaw a period of change for the church.
