Good one. I had forgotten about the Pathological Liar bit on Saturday Night Live.
Ded is honored to report on the opening and museum. Speakers included J. Testa, S. Galef and P. R. Martin. Other dignitaries included R. Masloski (sculptor of Lincoln statue out front), Exec Dir S. Jacobson, C. Pisani, and Lincoln Society members. National anthem sung a capella by excellent Irish opera singer whose name escapes Ded at this moment. The museum itself kicks serious butt, just like Abe did in the Civil War. The artifacts (many from Brian Caplan) are awesome. The layout is great and the historical narratives accompanying each section are very interesting and extremely well-written. Not dry or academic. Sections on Lincoln (of course), Abe's inaugural journey, his stop in Peekskill, New York state and local politics, slavery, draft riots, rebels, etc. Artifacts include 1860 and 1864 campaign merch and swag, weapons, biographies, photos, personal writings, newspaper headlines of the times, etc. Admission is $20 a family or $8 for an individual. I think Peekskill residents go free. Open on Sat and Sun, so don't make excuses like McClellan. Be like Grant and show up (but leave the whiskey home).
First of all The Working Families Party is a George Soros funded party. Enough of this kind of so called leadership. I'm sick of Democrat whining about the war on women. There is no war on women. The war on women begins when a Republican/Conservative woman wants to run for for office. EG. Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman etc. It's time for this old fart to retired to her mansion in Harrison.
