Jersey City Man Sentenced In Armed Morris County Best Buy Robbery, Prosecutor Says
A 39-year-old Jersey City man was sentenced to 28 years in prison on Friday, May, 10, for robbing a Best Buy at knifepoint in Morris County in 2022.
On May 28, 2022, Michael Guirguis entered a Best Buy in East Hanover and removed iPads and iPods from a display table worth $4,500.
As he tried to flee Best Guy, Guirguis brandished a knife at two employees, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and East Hanover Township Police Chief Christopher Cannizzo said.

At 4:44 p.m., Washington Township Police said they responded to a harassment complaint on the 100 block of W. Washington Avenue in Washington Borough. A barricade situation involving a man standing on a church steeple was unfolding Monday night, May 13 in Philadelphia, police said.
Officers were dispatched to a church on the 700 block of E Cornwall Street around 8:15 p.m. for a man, believed be under the influence of drugs, standing on the steeple of a church, city police said.
