Stepinac improved to 2-0 with a 28-10 in its win Saturday over Monroe-Woodbury. Brandon Coleman rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns to lead Stepinac, which plays Holy Cross of Flushing on Saturday,Sept. 13.
Iona Prep slipped to 1-1 with a 32-25 loss to St. Frances Academy of Baltimore on Friday, Sept. 12.
Rye Neck (2-0) beat Woodlands, 34-0, as Jake Sevean (86 yards) and Dom Brescia (71 yards, two touchdowns) led a balanced running attack.
In MaxPreps’ Class A rankings, Yorktown (No. 6) and Rye (No. 7) are both 2-0 and ranked in the top 10.
