The two new Croton-on-Hudson probationary firefighters, Jake Dominello and Andrew Liebler, received their diplomas citing the completion of their state-level training that included 100 hours of training.
About 150 members from various Westchester County departments received their completion certificates during the event.
Families of both members - including parents and siblings - were in attendance, proudly cheering on their newly anointed firefighters.
Attending from Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was Second Assistant Chief Christopher Pesavento, as well as Dominello's mother, Anita Dominello - a past captain, and his father, StephenDominello - a past chief.
Dominello marks the third generation to work with the fire department, his late grandfather, Armand "Jake" Dominello was also a chief with the department.
Liebler has been a member of Explorer Post 2089 for three years and is an active part of Washington Engine Company No. 2.
Both attend Croton-Harmon High School and should be graduating in 2018.
