Retired Teachers Peekskill Chapter Faculty Association Awards Scholarships

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Retired Educators Chapter of the Peekskill Faculty Association held the 12th Annual REC/PFA Scholarship Luncheon in Peekskill.

They awarded the 2016 scholarship in the amount of $3000 to Jamie Acevedo, a senior at Peekskill High School. Since 2005, 15 scholarships totaling more than $26,000 have been awarded by the REC/PFA to a graduating Peekskill High School senior who wishes to become a teacher. 

The winner is selected based on submitted essays on “Why I Intend to Pursue a Career in Education”.
