Peekskill High School Debates Red Devil Mascot

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill High School's Debate Club and Student Council recently held a debate about the school's Red Devil mascot. The panel addressed issues such as the separation of church and state before the students and members of the community.

According to a statement by the Peekskill Board of Education, there has not been any proposal or discussion regarding the replacement or removal of the mascot. The debate was entirely a scholarly exercise.
