Illegal Nightclub Bust Leads Police To Cocaine, Heroin & Cash

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Four local men were busted for heroin, cocaine and cash when City of Poughkeepsie police raided an illegal nightclub in a Morgan Avenue basement, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Shaquille R. Byrd, 23; Brian M. Creary, 40; and David L. Ollivierre, 26, along with Sait Yakup, 29, were charged Friday, Oct. 21 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance, said the Poughkeepsie Journal.

The men were released on $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond, added the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Carried out by the police department’s Neighborhood Recovery Unit, and the Emergency Services Unit, officers also seized 12 ounces of marijuana and more than $1,375, said the Journal.

The building was declared unsafe by city officials and the power to the building was disconnected, added the Poughkeepsie Journal.
