Car Crashes Into Stone Wall In Mahopac

Traffic was backed up on Long Pond Road in Mahopac due to a car crashing into a stone wall, according to the Mahopac Fire Department.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday when the driver swerved, crossed the road and hit the stone wall, ripping off a door of the vehicle, officials said.

The driver received minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.

Multiple departments responded to the crash including Mahopac Fire and EMS, multiple units from Carmel Police, and paramedics from EMStar.
