Richard Kasten, 66, Of Peekskill, Marine Corps Veteran

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Richard "Rick" Kasten of Peekskill died Sept. 26. He was 66.

Kasten was born July 14, 1947, in Mount Vernon, to Ralph and Michelle Lee Luciani Kasten. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. from 1966 to 1968. From 1977 to 1989 he was an auxiliary police officer for the City of Yonkers. He was a help-desk coordinator with the City of White Plains, retiring after 36 years of service.

Kasten is survived by his wife, MarySue Kasten of Peekskill; brother, Thomas (Rosemary) Kasten of Yonkers; a godson; aunt, Lucy (Tom) Adamo of Scarsdale; numerous nieces, nephews; and cousins from both the Kasten and Spinella families.

Calling hours are Sunday, Sept. 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30 at Church of the Holy Spirit. Entombment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
