PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – David W. Marriott, of Peekskill, died Monday, April 18. He was 82 .
Marriott was born April 27, 1933, in Jackson, Mich., to William and Marion Wheeler Marriott.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War and, after his service ended, eventually became a national advertising executive for the Newhouse Newspapers in New York City.
Marriott was predeceased by his parents; his son-in-law, Mike Mitchell; and his brother, Philip.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (nee Crum); three children, Karen Mitchell, Robbie and his wife Ruth of Wellfleet, Mass., and Darrell and his wife Debby; five grandchildren; his sister, Toni Garland of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday, April 19, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home in Peekskill, with a memorial service following.
Cremation will be private.
