CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- Charles W. Gilbon, 88, of Cortlandt Manor died Sunday, Jan. 11.
Born Oct. 20, 1926, he was a son of Charles and Olive Chase Gilbon.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, and worked for many years as a letter carrier for the Peekskill Post Office.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan L. (Joseph) Connolly; one sister, Helen Valente; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia L. Gilbon.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, 313 N. James St., Peekskill.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
