CARMEL, N.Y. - Anna Simone, a resident of Carmel and formerly of Mahopac, and Westbrook, Conn., died Friday, Nov. 28. She was 84.
Simone was a seamstress and business woman. In 1966 she opened and operated Ann of Mahopac Fashion in both Mahopac and Carmel. She moved to Westbrook, Conn.., in 1978 and opened LaModa in Old Saybrook, Conn., and later Anna Marie’s Boutique in Westbrook, Conn. She also co-owned Bertollini’s Restaurant in Peekskill.
Simone is survived by her children, Alfred and Joseph, Jr. (Susan); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Enzo in Naples, Italy and family.
Calling hours are Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., with a prayer service to commence at 11:30 a.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 418 Route Six, Mahopac, (for GPS please put in as 418 US 6). Mahopac, NY 10541 (845)628-5655.
