What's Open/Closed In Peekskill On Columbus Day

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Several places around Peekskill will be closed or operating on a different schedule on Monday in observance of Columbus Day. Here's what you need to know before heading out:

What's closed:

The Field Library
Peekskill Schools
All local, state and federal offices and buildings
The Peekskill Post Office
Most banks (call ahead to see if your bank is open)

What's open: Supermarkets, restaurants, bars, liquor stores and other retail locations are open. However, these places may be operating on special holiday hours. It’s a good idea to call ahead before heading out to any of these establishments.

Trains Metro-North will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
