What's Happening in Peekskill This Weekend

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. — A show for the whole family at Peekskill High School leads a weekend of fun activities in the city.

The Peekskill High School Drama club presents "You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown" at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Peekskill High School auditorium.

Tickets can be purchased at the door. Prices are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and $5 for seniors and children under 10. 

Friday, April 27

• Phoebe Snow: A Tribute at the BeanRunner Cafe: 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. On the weekend of the one-year anniversary of Phoebe Snow's death, Mary Crescenzo sings the songs written and made famous by this powerful female artist. Admission is $10. The BeanRunner Café is located at 201 S. Division St.

• Fred Gillen Jr. at the Peekskill Coffee House: 8 p.m. The local artist will perform a free folk set. The Peekskill Coffee House is at 101 S. Division St.

• Suzanne Vega and Duncan Sheik at The Paramount Center for the Arts: 8 p.m. The two popular singer-songwriters will perform their popular hits and songs from their new albums. Tickets range from $35 to $55 and are available on the Paramount website and at the box office.

• The Track at 12 Grapes: 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The Track is a New York original rock band that has polished its performance chops in various events around New York City and Westchester. Admission is a $5 entertainment fee for all, including diners. 12 Grapes is located at 12 N. Division St.

• Phineas and the Lonely Leaves at the Birdsall House: 10 p.m. The band will perform a free set for patrons. The Birdsall House is at 970 Main St.

Saturday, April 28

• Premik Russell Tubbs at BeanRunner Cafe: 7:30 to 11 p.m. Saxophonist Premik Russell has worked with music greats Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock and many others. Admission is $10.

• Vanessa Raci at Division Street Grill: 8 to 11 p.m. The musician will perform a free set for patrons. Division Street Grill is at 26 N. Division St.

• Hannah P. at The Peekskill Coffee House: 8 p.m. The singer will perform a free set of pop covers.

• A Pink Floyd Tribute with Beyond The Wall at 12 Grapes: 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. This five-piece band uses lights, video, sound effects and a meticulous attention to the musical details of some of Pink Floyd's best-known songs. Admission is a $10 entertainment fee, or $5 with a dinner entree.

Sunday, April 29

• The Tristen Napoli Trio at Peekskill Coffee House: 1 p.m. The jazz trio will perform a free set.

• Unplugged Sunday at 12 Grapes: 6 to 8:30 p.m. This week's Unplugged Sunday will feature New York artists Michelle DeAngelis, Niko Emanuilidis and Alex Dechaves. Admission is free.

• "Rigoletto" from the Royal Opera House at the Paramount: 1 p.m. The filmed performance features the Royal Opera Chorus and the orchestra of the Royal Opera House. The opera is sung in Italian with English subtitles and is two hours and 9 minutes long. Admission is $20 for the public. The Paramount Center for the Arts is located at 1008 Brown St.
