PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- New York State Police arrested a Peekskill woman on charges of purse snatching on Wednesday, Nov. 7, police officials said.

The 17-year-old suspect was arrested following an investigation into an incident at the Shop Rite in Mohegan Lake, N.Y. on Monday, Nov. 4, according to State Police.

The suspect was charged with one count of Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a felony. She is due to appear in Cortlandt Town Court on Friday, Nov. 15 and faces a maximum of 4 years in prison, State Police said.
