Peekskill Feeling Nor'easter's Chill

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – The city of Peekskill was hit with the second storm in less than a week, this time a snowy nor’easter.

The Peekskill City School District  did not canceled classes for Thursday as of Wednesday afternoon due to the nor'easter.

Rain, snow and sleet will fall after 3 p.m. The high temperate is projected to be 39 degrees. The weather is forecasted to be breezy with a north wind of 23 mph and wind gusts of up to 46 mph. Little or no snow accumulation is expected.

On Wednesday night, rain, snow and sleet is expected. After 3 a.m., rain and snow will fall, with a blustery north wind gusting to 47 mph. A high wind advisory has been posted for Westchester County through 4 a.m. Thursday. 

All flights into and out of Westchester County airport after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday were canceled.

The Peekskill City School District canceled all after school activities for Wednesday. The Hendrick Hudson School district had an early dismissal.  As of Wednesday at 5 p.m. neither district had canceled classes for Thursday.
