The Nashes  will be hosting an opening reception of their joint art show, Grounded, on Saturday, from 4 - 6 p.m.

The show’s title, "Grounded," came from the couple’s mutual interest in layering and the surreal scenes that the layers create. Each partner selected pieces with an eye towards complimenting the other’s artwork.

Jessica Nash is an art teacher, and her graduate studies on creativity earned her an Outstanding Graduate Award from SUNY New Paltz, along with a district grant to foster student creativity through digital photography. Douglas Nash is a professional videographer, having been nominated twice for an Emmy Award.

The work also can be viewed during normal business hours: Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Sept. 28.
