The Executive Board of New York State Counter Terrorism Zone Three, which is comprised of Westchester and Putnam Counties, determined that northern Westchester would benefit from the addition of this command and communication vehicle.  Westchester County recently purchased a new command and communications vehicle through funding provided by a federal grant from the Department of Homeland Security.

“This agreement is a great benefit to Peekskill and the neighboring communities," Legislator John Testa said in a statement. "It is important that we continue to invest in the equipment that is needed to keep out residents safe and secure."

The agreement is for a term of five years and can be extended after that period.
