Local Authors To Sign Copies of 'Images of America, Cortlandt' In Peekskill

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Local authors Laura Lee Keating and Jean Moczarski will host a book signing and reception at the Field Library in Peekskill on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Lee and Keating will be on hand to sign copies of their new book, "Images of America, Cortlandt," which will be available for purchase.

The book uses more than 200 vintage photographs and archival footage to help tell the story of the Cortlandt community and how it became what it is today.

Keating has been the municipal historian for the Town of Cortlandt since 2001 and is the President of The Lincoln Society in Peekskill.

Moczarski is a retired educator from the Hendrick Hudson School district, where she taught both English and elementary students. She has also worked as a freelance writer.

The event is open and free to the public.

The Field Library is located at 4 Nelson Avenue in Peekskill.
