SCARSDALE, N.Y. All donations to the Scarsdale Public Library Book Sale must be dropped off by 1 p.m. Saturday, according to sale sponsor Friends of the Scarsdale Library. The sale will run from Sept. 10 through 18, with a members-only preview day on Sept. 9.
Volunteers have been sorting and organizing more than 50,000 books donated for the week-long sale since July 5.
Donated books must be in good condition. Text books, encyclopedias, magazines, travel books older than five years and warped or damaged books will not be accepted, volunteers said.
