The Jandon Foundation Scholarship is the result of a collaborative effort between the Westchester County Board of Legislators and the Jandon Foundation.

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, students must have excellent academic records and SAT scores, involvement in extra-curricular activities and evidence of good character, according to the Jandon Foundation.

The award is distributed over the student’s four-year college career.

Last week, Peekskill High School assistant principal Kent Picou and college resource advisor Maria Gordineer accompanied Elliot and Griffith to an award ceremony in White Plains, which was hosted by the Jandon Foundation, the Cecil Family and the Westchester County Board of Legislators.

The students were praised at the ceremony for their accomplishments and were awarded certificates of recognition along with their scholarships.
