Hearing For Scarsdale Native Robert Durst Delayed

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – A preliminary hearing Thursday for Robert Durst was delayed for a week when the prosecuting team did not agree to Durst’s lawyers' request to overturn state charges in Louisiana in order to move up Durst’s extradition to California on a murder charge, where they hope to get his arrest warrant overturned, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Durst, 71, was arrested in New Orleans in March after police found a revolver and marijuana in his Canal Street hotel after initially being sought on a California warrant for the death of author and Los Angeles native Susan Berman 15 years ago, according to the report.
