WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – The Westchester County Fair Campaign Practices Committee formally rebuked county Board of Legislators candidate John Testa on Sept. 3, after comments he made in a press release and conference on Aug. 4, implying that the Peekskill Democratic Party was engaging in 'fraud.'
A complaint was filed by candidate Vivian McKenzie, after she was named as one of the local Democrats that Testa had said were engaging in 'fraudulent' activity in an attempt to 'defraud the voters.'
McKenzie believed that Testa's statements and 'inflammatory rhetoric' were 'irresponsible.'
The committee found Testa's comments completely unsupported and without evidence.
