Bryana Paquette, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was arrested Sunday, Dec. 9, after police responded to MidHudson Regional Hospital for a report of a man who had a laceration to his chest, possibly obtained during a domestic argument, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin Faber.

While conducting the investigation, police learned that Paquette had driven the vehicle while intoxicated, Faber said.

She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, a felony, under Leandra’s Law, DWI and endangering the welfare of a child.

Leandra's Law makes it a felony to drive under the influence with a child under the age of 15 in the vehicle.

Paquette is being held at the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
