YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A Peekskill woman was charged with driving while intoxicated on Aug. 25, according to the state police from the Cortlandt barracks.
Kayla S. Spearman, 24, of Peekskill, was charged with DWI and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, both felonies. She was charged with felony DWI due to a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years.
Spearman was found to be intoxicated after a traffic stop that was initiated because she was following the arresting officers' vehicle too closely and made a lane change without signaling, state police said.
Spearman is scheduled to appear at 7 p.m., Sept. 3, in Yorktown Justice Court.
