Members of the North Castle Police Department received the call from a Florida area code shortly before 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8.

The caller, who identified herself as “Dr. Christine Hall,” said that her car had been stolen from a Day Road residence in the past two days.

Police said that the caller was unable to provide a registration for the vehicle. Officers were dispatched to the home, and spoke with a second party at the scene who said nobody had called from that location.

The investigators called back the original number and spoke to a third person, who said she would get the original caller on the phone, but hung up.

A second call was made to the number by investigators, who said that “the person briefly spoke incoherently before disconnecting.”

The Day Road resident was advised of the initial call, though no other action was taken.

There has been no further incident reported by police.
