When the troopers arrived on scene, they discovered Gibbs asleep at the wheel of her Hyundai, determining that she was intoxicated when speaking with her.
The troopers noticed extensive damage to the Hyundai that was inconsistent with the accident. After contacting other local departments, they discovered there were three hit-and-run accidents in Ossining with active investigations where a Hyundai was named as the suspect vehicle.
Gibbs was issued traffic tickets and was ordered to appear in Cortlandt town court on Friday, Feb. 13.
