Peekskill Man Accused of Selling Alcohol To A Minor

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- A Peekskill man was arrested Sunday in connection with the sale of alcohol to an undercover minor at a Mohegan Lake store, state police said.

Victor Alfaro-Fuentes, 27, of Peekskill, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage at Mohegan Wine & Liquors at 3153 East Main St., in the Cortlandt Town Center in Mohegan Lake, according to the New York State Police.

"Eleven other businesses in the area all passed the compliance check by refusing to sell alcohol to the undercover minor," according to a news release from state police. Information on the other businesses was not released. 

Alfaro-Fuentes is set to appear on July 12 in Cortlandt Town Court.
