Drunk Westchester Motorist, 36, Crashes Into Wall, Flees Scene, Police Say

A Westchester man was arrested after allegedly crashing a vehicle into a brick wall and then fleeing the scene.

Juan Gonzalez, 36, of Yonkers, was arrested around 4:25 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 after Greenwich Police responded to the area of 122 Round Hill Road for a report that a vehicle had crashed into a brick wall, said the Greenwich Police.

When officers arrived on the scene they found the vehicle had left the scene but was found in a driveway on Round Hill Road, police said.

A further investigation found that Gonzalez had red, glassy eyes, and smelled of alcohol,  police said. He also failed a series of field sobriety tests. 

Gonzalez was charged with operating under the influence, evading and failure to drive right. He was released on $250 bond.
