Russell Seaboldt Sr., 90, Longtime Peekskill Resident

PEEKSKILL/CORTLANDT, N.Y. - Russell Seaboldt Sr., a lifelong resident of Peekskill and Cortlandt, died July 11. He was 90.

Seaboldt was a graduate of Peekskill High School Class of ‘42. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945.

He worked in sanitation for the Town of Cortlandt for 38 years. Seaboldt was also chief of the Mohegan Lake Volunteer Fire Association from 1966 to 1968 and was a member of the Peekskill Elks Lodge #744.

Seaboldt is survived by his son, Russell Seaboldt Jr.; daughters Barbara Jaeschke, Colleen (Mark) Merone, Gayle (Chipper) Chase and Tracy (Edward) Kovacs; and 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan.

Calling hours are Sunday, July 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill. A service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday, July 15, followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
