PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Raymond S. "Pete" Edge, Jr., a lifelong Peekskill resident, died Nov. 3. He was 61.
Edge was born May 3, 1952, in Peekskill, to Raymond S. and Evelyn Gordineer Edge. He was a general foreman, working at Indian Point Power Plant for 27 years and was a member and president of Labor Union Local 235 in Elmsford. He was a 40 year life member and past president of the Peekskill Fire Patrol, and a member of Peekskill Lodge of Elks #744 Peekskill.
Edge is survived by his wife, Josephine T. (nee Webb) Edge; children, Raymond J. (Kallie) Edge, Michael J. (Elisha) Edge, Susan J. (Angel Santos) Edge, Deena J. Edge; stepchildren, George (Chanelle) Bridle, Robin Hayward; 13 grandchildren; and sister, Caroline McCloskey. He was predeceased by his parents; and a grandson.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
