PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Maria "Melitta" Clune of Peekskill died Sept. 3. She was 90.
Clune was born July 26, 1923, in Naples, Italy, to Agostino and Concetta (Scorza) Dell'Aquila. She worked at the Field Library in Peekskill where she had been a library clerk in the History Room. Previously she worked as a sewing machine operator for Nan Flower and several other garment factories.
Clune is survived by children, Richard Clune of Peekskill, John (Diane Quigley) Clune of Westfield, Mass., and Patricia (Edward) Troischt of Indian Lake; two grandchildren; sister, Alida Dell'Aquila of Italy; nieces; and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, John Clune.
Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 6 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home , Peekskill. Graveside Service and interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
