Peekskill's Union Avenue No Longer A One-Way Street

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Union Avenue in Peekskill between Second Street and South Street will no longer be a one-way road during school hours, according to Peekskill Corporation Council release.

The change was also approved by the comptroller and the city manager.

Union Avenue currently becomes a one way street between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to accommodate Assumption School. It was recommended to the city that the road be changed to two-way to alleviate traffic issues.
