A 20-year-old registered sex offender convicted of forcibly a teenage girl has reported an address change in Putnam County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Thursday to Putnam residents regarding the residency of Erick Santander, who has moved to a residence Mathes Street in Lake Peekskill. He also maintains a second residence in Peekskill, according to officials.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Santander as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Santander had sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old girl in June 2015 and was charged with forcible touching the following January, when he was sentenced to six years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
