To the editor:
With pride and confidence, I write this letter of endorsement for Vivian McKenzie, whom the Peekskill Common Council appointed to the vacant Council seat to which she is now seeking election. I have known Vivian for a few years since she assumed the ownership of a small business in downtown Peekskill and through some of her activities in the Peekskill community. Vivian's family foundation in Peekskill and her business experience adds an important voice to the council. Vivian's involvement in the Business Improvement District (BID), Peekskill High School's P.I.E.S program, Girl Scouts, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Park Street A.M.E. Zion Church demonstrates her commitment to and for the city of Peekskill. I enthusiastically support Vivian McKenzie as a candidate for the Peekskill Common Council on Nov. 5.
