PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Hudson Valley Exposition -- a mini-world’s fair -- will return to New York State for the first time in 70 years.
The historic reintroduction of the Hudson Valley Exposition, presented by the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce, will take place from noon to 9 p.m. on Aug. 1 at Riverfront Green Park, Peekskill. The event is being held in conjunction with Peekskill’s 75th anniversary.
“We are bringing back the Exposition as part of the Chamber's 100 celebrations,” said Exposition Director and Executive Director of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber Deb Milone in a statement. “If you come to the Exposition, you will experience things you haven't experienced before as well as things you remember from your childhood.”
Among the events will be historical reenactments, a log-cutting demonstration by N. Dains Sons, a floating yoga studio by SUP OM YOGA, kayak rides, grand prix auto racing, storytelling by world class story tellers, kids' tree climbing by Almstead trees and a 3D printer demonstration by the Field Library.
Local businesses will be on hand and the best of the Hudson Valley's food, craft beer and wines will be available for sampling.
An Entergy Laser Light Show Spectacular will conclude the day’s festivities.
