Field Library Hosts Two Upcoming Seminars

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Navigating insurance and staying healthy are the topics of two upcoming events at the Field Library in Peekskill beginning Wednesday, Jan 6.

Health insurance navigators from the Westchester County Health Department will be on hand every Wednesday in January to help residents who don't have insurance.

The first free event, hosted by the Westchester County Health Department, features Health Insurance Navigator Assistance for residents who need health insurance.

A navigator from the department will be at the library every Wednesday in January from 9 a.m.to 1 p.m. to offer assistance. Interested participants are asked to call 914-813-5192 to schedule an appointment (available in English and Spanish). 

The second event takes place Thursday, Jan.7 and focuses on aging in place and helping to prepare seniors for a long life at home. Topics include getting in and out of your home safely, stress free movement, making the bathroom more accessible, improved kitchen set-ups, and smart-house technology.
