PEEKSKILL, N.Y. — Storefront windows will be painted for the holidays on Thursday as part of a community collaboration between professional artists and the city’s youth.
Windows of Hope is part of Peekskill in Lights, a community effort offering opportunities for residents, businesses and community organizations. The goal is to help make Peekskill shine and become known as a holiday destination.
Groups of children will be paired with an established artist to help guide them through the creative process as they set out to paint a dozen storefront windows.
Artists and kids will meet at 3 p.m. at the Peekskill First Presbyterian Church, 705 South St.
