The flooding is expected to be minor to moderate, the service said.

A coastal flood advisory is in effect for Southern Westchester from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday, it said.

Expected to be most affected are vulnerable shore roads due to the storm tide or wave splashover.

The service said that the majority of roads should remain passable with only isolated closures.

It did not see any “significant” threat to lives or property.

Meanwhile, showers and overnight patchy fog are expected to make the first part of the weekend damp and miserable.

Other forecasters were seeing the possibility of thundershowers as part of the storm system.

Rain will continue Friday and Saturday and is expected to clear out of the area by noon Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low 60s Saturday and Sunday.

The sun makes another appearance on Monday and Tuesday, then the raindrops return in the middle of next week, the service said.
