Thursday will feature a cloudy morning with some sun peaking through in the afternoon and a high temperature around 55 degrees.

Some snow is possible after 3 a.m. Friday, according to forecasters. Snow showers could then linger until about 1 p.m. Friday, forecasters said.

Most of the area could see a coating to one inch from the system. Higher accumulation totals are expected east of New York City.

Though the weather for Super Bowl watchers is expected to be fairly pleasant Sunday (sunny with highs around 43), forecasters are keeping an eye on two storm systems that may affect the region by the middle of next week.
