Former Police Sergeant From Peekskill Dies At 58 A community in Northern Westchester is mourning the loss of a former police sergeant who faithfully served his hometown for two decades.  Former Peekskill Police Sergeant Kenneth Faughnan died on Sunday, June 18 at the age of 58,  his former department announced.  Born in Peekskill in 1964, Faughnan graduated from Franciscan High School in Mohegan Lake before attending SUNY Oneonta.  Faughnan then went on to begin his career in law enforcement in his hometown, where he first started as a Park Ranger. 'Most Difficult News': Peekskill Police Department Mourns Death Of Officer A police department in Northern Westchester is mourning the sudden loss of one of its own.  Gregory Jones, an officer with the Peekskill Police Department, died on Thursday, Nov. 24 at the age of 48, according to his obituary.  A native of Orange County, Jones was born and raised in Middletown and earned his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill before beginning his law enforcement career with the Orange County Sheriff's Office, his obituary said.  Jones later transferred to the Peekskill Police Department, where he stayed for…

Man, 39, Electrocuted While Removing Tree Leaves Behind Wife, Two Children A 39-year-old man who was electrocuted while removing a tree after hitting a live power line earlier this week leaves behind a wife and two children. John B. Nuzzolo, of Newburgh, died Monday around 9:17 a.m.while removing the tree at 29 Maple Road, in Cornwall-on-Hudson. He was an employee of the MTA, and the Long Island Railroad, and was a former member of Local 38. Nuzzolo is survived by his wife Syndi and his two children Aryanna and John.
