Peekskill Boys Play Woodlands in Benefit Game

Nicole Brooks and the Woodlands basketball teams will host a cancer fundraiser Saturday.

HARTSDALE, N.Y. – The Woodlands High School basketball family will host eight high school teams in five head-to-head games highlighting the Woodlands Basketball Tournament to Benefit Breast Cancer Awareness beginning at noon Saturday.

The tournament will be preceded by a benefit walk from the high school beginning at 9 a.m. The walking fee is $2 and a contribution of $3 includes free admission to the afternoon of basketball at the high school. The event is sponsored by the Falcons Nest Booster Club and Woodlands Athletics.

The basketball games begin with a meeting of St. Barnabas and Valhalla High School girls at noon followed by Cardinal Spellman and Ursuline School girls at 1:30 p.m., Maria Regina versus the Woodlands girls at 3 p.m. and the Falcons boys hosting Peekskill junior varsity and varsity teams beginning at 4 p.m.

The event will also include a raffle of a Dell Notebook and commemorative T-shirt sales and refreshments will be available for purchase. Admission to the tournament is $3 and $1 for Greenburgh Central 7 students.

Woodlands High School is located at 475 West Hartsdale Ave. in Hartsdale.
