John Jay-Cross River is the top seed in Division II followed by Rye and Horace Greeley. Scarsdale, the 2012 Section 1 Division II runner-up, is seeded fifth. John Jay, Rye, Greeley and Pelham all have received first-round byes.
Pelham will play the winner of No. 12 Brewster versus No. 5 Scarsdale. This quarterfinal-round game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Ice Hutch in Mount Vernon.
"The Division II playoffs this year are unreal," Rye senior and goalie Aidan Talgo said. "There are multiple powers that can step up and win any game at any time,
"As the number two seed, we need to show up knowing there is a target on our backs and play to the highest level we possibly can."
The Division II championship game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Feb. 24, at the Brewster Ice Arena.

Defending state champion Suffern is the top seed in the Division I tournament. Somers/North Salem is the surprise second seed with Mamaroneck third, White Plains fourth and New Rochelle fifth. Suffern and Somers/North Salem each received a first-round bye.
All Division I first-round games will be Sunday. Mamaroneck will host No. 14 North Rockland at 8:15 p.m. at the Hommocks Ice Rink. First-round wins by White Plains and New Rochelle would set up a quarterfinal game between the two rivals Tuesday.
The Division I final will be played 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24, at the Brewster Ice Arena.
