Oswald Annang was named All-Section and All-Section MVP this season in soccer. Annang finished tied for second place for most goals scored with 29 goals in Section 1. He had a total of 5 assists, was one of the captains of his team and had four game winning goals.
Peekskill High School senior Chelsea Ogindo was recognized for receiving multiple awards, accepting a scholarship from Binghamton University and publicly signing her letter of intent at Peekskill High school on Nov. 17.
Coaches Cami Blazejewski and Jonathan Iasillo were both named “Coach of the Year” by peers in Conference 1, League C. Blazejewski co-coaches the Peekskill Varsity Girls’ Soccer team alongside Ted Bitter. The two have been coaching together for three years, and this is Blazejewski’s second Coach of the Year award in a row. Iasillo, who coaches Boys Varsity Soccer at Peekskill, received his Coach of the Year award after his team finished the season at 10-7. This is his first Coach of the Year award.
