This year the race was named "Jamie's 5K Run For Love," to honor Jamie Love, a 2010 Byram Hills High School graduate and avid runner, who sadly passed away last year with a heart condition.

The men's winner was Bobby Asher of Scarsdale, with a time of 16:40.

The women's winner was Sydney Durand, a University of Vermont standout from Harvard, Mass., with a time of 19:38.

Equinox Gym provided staff throughout the event to assist runners in stretching.

Other activities during the day included a silent auction, pie-eating contest and doughnut fishing contest.

The race served as a kickoff for the annual Art Show, which will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Westchester Business Park in Armonk.  Proceeds will benefit the North Castle Library.
