After giving up three early runs, the Sailors were chasing Arlington the entire game. They couldn’t seem to take advantage of their chances and it was apparent that they were starting to get frustrated. But the Sailors pushed through and didn’t give anything away defensively.
With the bases loaded and one out, the Sailors won on a sacrifice fly ball driven deep into right field in the bottom of the tenth.
The bottom of the seventh inning was the turning point for the Sailors. They were already down 3-0 at this point after a tough first inning that was entirely dominated by Arlington.
The Sailors had to score if they wanted at least a chance at tying up the game. They were given hope after getting players on base from a couple of solid base hits and walks. The pressure was starting to weigh on Arlington as a series of wild pitches and walks gave the Sailors two runs.
After this, the Sailors got a base hit that brought in a runner from third to tie up the game. A pop up would end up closing out the inning to send the game into extra innings and a Hen Hud victory.
