City Council Honors Peekskill Recreation Swim Team

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – The Peekskill Common Council took time Monday to honor the city's parks and recreation department summer swim team for its league championship victory this summer.

Peekskill’s summer swim team, which competes in the Northern Westchester Swimming Conference, will compete next season in Division II after winning the Division III category.

Coaches Dana Bennet Dapson, Sara Lowe Ward and Sergey Capozzelli – all former swimmers themselves – were on hand for the ceremony.
