Area Teams Make Splash At Sectional Boys Swimming Championships

WEST NYACK, N.Y. - Swim teams from Westchester, Putnam and Rockland counties convened on Felix Festa Middle School in West Nyack Thursday for the Section 1 Swimming Championships.

Horace Greeley won the Section 1 team title, with the Quakers' Tyler Hill winning two individual titles.

Matthew Zugibe of North Rockland won his first two individual titles, and Rye/BlindBrook/Rye Neck's Liam Egan also won two Section 1 titles at the meet.

In team standings, Scarsdale placed second, and North Rockland took third, Rye/Blind Brook/Rye Neck was fourth, and Clarkstown placed fifth. New Rochelle/Bronxville, Fox Lane, John Jay/Brewster, Lourdes and Suffern rounded out the top 10, respectively.
