Peekskill's Woodside Elementary Students Highlight African-American Lives

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Woodside Elementary School students in Bridget Holloman's class honored Black History Month with their own projects as well as special guests.

The students in Holloman's class presented their research in February on the lives of famous African-Americans throughout history. In attendance for the project presentations were the students' parents, as well as Mayor Frank Catalina, Schools Superintendent Larry Licopoli, Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education Mary Foster and Principal Rolando Briceño.
